Imagine a world with no emotional or spiritual suffering.

The whole field of emotional healing is relatively new. It got a big lift about one hundred years ago when a man named Freud popularized the idea that emotional suffering could be healed if it were specifically addressed. Since then there have been a lot of advances in the field.

While lots of people have become trained as counselors, there are still not enough counselors to go around. In fact, if every person trained in counseling were given a full schedule of forty counseling hours every week, there still would not be enough counselors in the world to give everyone a weekly one-hour session. And, for many people, one hour a week is not even enough to keep up with what life piles on, much less clean up the backlog. So, there needs to be another solution.

By using self-help programs and support groups, people who cannot get access to enough counseling can get some of the additional healing they need.
